Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Auditorium - “Kanji Khetsey Sabhagriha”

Our founder Kulpati K.M Munshiji always dreamt of promoting and developing talents in the field of dance drama and music, and in keeping up with the fulfilment of this dream the Kanji Khetsey Sabhagriha came into existence in 1946.The KK theatre, as it is popularly called, has set the stage for the holding of inter- collegiate drama competition since 1951.It was this very place which gave birth to many actors, directors, writers , technicians, singers, music directors & dancers. In fact the theatre can be said to be playing the role of the cultural hub of south Mumbai.

On the occasion of the diamond jubilee celebration of Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan, the KK thatre undervent renovation. The newly designed auditorium was inaugurated by the Honourable President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee in the guest presence of the Governer of Maharashtra & the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and dignitaries of Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan.

Our college, located as at is next to the parent body, is fortunate that it can use the theatre for the hosting of several of its customary cultural and co-curricular events and seminars throughout the year.
